Tin Sing opened its doors in 1965. For Cantonese immigrants, Poy and Linda Jung, opening a restaurant in Gardena, CA was the realization of a long-held dream. Poy’s vision: Chinese food for the working man and his family, recipes that would satisfy and nourish, and flavors that would bring people back for more. It was the place for “Chinese Soul Food”–soul-delicious Chinese comfort food. They soon captured the hearts and appetites of the diverse local community.

As a gathering place for family rites of passage and celebrations, generations of loyal customers dined weekly at Tin Sing. Tin Sing’s trademark dishes included pork-stuffed egg rolls, almond duck, sweet and sour pork, egg foo yong, BBQ ribs, hom yuk, won ton soup, lemon chicken, and pan fried chowmein. To this day customers still say, “no one makes it like Tin Sing.”

Although the Jung family retired the restaurant in 2005, its legacy continues as Tin Sing Foods. The time-tested recipes made popular at the original restaurant are now available to the home chef. Products include: Classic Chinese BBQ Sauce, Classic Sweet and Sour Sauce, Lemon Chicken Sauce, and Wicked Wonton Snacks. All are proudly made in the U.S.A. and meet the highest quality and food safety standards.
